Eurovision Mania series #2- My top 3 entries so far

Hello friends!

62 days until the big concert! It is difficult to get in the party mood and find the motivation to write about a contest when there is a war happening next to us..The contest might be cancelled, Ukraine might not participate this year. But I decided to carry on with the Eurovision Mania posts as something to look forward to, and to be reminded of the power of music and how it can bring the countries together!

In the second blog post I decided to talk about my Top 3 entries at the moment for this year's contest. 'At the moment' because they keep changing every week haha. By the time you are reading this the Cyprus entry will be out too, but I thought to write this post before listening to it so I won't be biased by my country's entry. Get a warm cup of coffee and here we go!

 💚♡💓

 3. Finland: The Rasmus- 'Jezebel'

I love the fact that Finland sents a rock band almost every year, as the country of hard rock and heavy metal! It is part of their identity. This year they took a step further and they are sending an international well-known band, The Rasmus! You might have heard of them because of their hit 'In the Shadows'. They will compete with the song Jezebel ,which is a rock entry with guitar riffs, wild vocals and lots of make-up. Classic Eurovision rock entry.

 2. Spain: Chanel- 'SloMo'

The Foureira of 2022. She has the moves, she has the voice and she has a catchy song. That's the secret ingredients of the Eurovision success recipe. Many people compare her with Eleni Foureira and which one is the best. I have to disagree with that comparison since each one is a talented unique artist that came to Eurovision to light up fires and make everyone copy their moves. Spain deserves a place in the top 10 this year!

1. Italy: Mahmood and Blanco-'Brividi'

This has been my favourite song from the first time I heard it when it won the SanRemo festival in February. It is a strong ballad about loving someone and can't express your feelings- and for sure it gives you 'goosebumps'. The blending of Mahmood's and Blanco's voices is so beautiful which makes this song perfect. Will Italy do a back to back this year? Si.

Those are my favourite 3 songs at the moment-it took me a while to make up my mind (excuse the Eurovision pun!). But with more countries releasing their songs this week, this list is probably gonna change (I am not sure about Brividi though). I hope you find some time to listen to these songs and get a taste of this year's contest. Also if you are a Eurovision fan like me and already listened to the songs let me know your top 3!

Thank you so much for reading this post. See you soon!
