Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! After a long break I am excited to start writing about Eurovision again, especially this year when it’s going to happen only 79 km away from me! This is the closest I was ever to the contest and to my dream of attending a Eurovision Song Contest. For those who don’t know, Liverpool will host the 67 th  ESC on behalf of Ukraine at the Liverpool M&S arena. The grand final will take place on Saturday 13 th  of May with semi-finals on 9 th  and 11 th  of May. Tickets are not on sale yet and the release date hasn’t been announced, but rumors say that it’s going to happen soon! For the first Eurovision post of the year I decided to write about the city of Liverpool, some historical facts, sights and attractions for those who are visiting soon or for those who are planning to in the future! Hello friends! The big countdown has begun, with only 15 days until the first semi-final! It is officially getting closer now, hence it is acceptable to play non-stop Eurovision playlists on Spotify (and ruining my wrap of the year). There is this unwritten rule that songs are influenced by the previous year's winner and immitate the music genre. For example, when Lordi won the ESC in 2006 dressed up as monsters, the following year there were many dressed up acts. Also this year we are seeing an increase in the number of rock bands, and that's probably influenced by the legendary Maneskin . All the countries have now released their songs, and with the newest entries Eurovision starts to look really exciting this year. In this post I decided to talk about the top 5 songs by odds that are the favorites to win this year's contest. But firstly I will introduce you to how the odds work so you can get a better understanding. Make a brew and let's go☕ How do odds work? Odd is the probability of an event happening (in our case a country winning the ESC). The higher the odd, the less likely the country will win the competition. The lower the odd, the most likely this country will win the contest. There are 3 different factors that can influence the odds: Betting trends: Bookmakers constantly analyse which participants their customers place their bets on. It is difficult to get in the party mood and find the motivation to write about a contest when there is a war happening next to us..The contest might be cancelled, Ukraine might not participate this year. Hello lovely people! I am back with another post that is about my second passion after vinyls..Eurovision!! Many people make fun of this song contest saying that it is a music contest for the crazy untalented artists of each country.. Hello friends! Summer 2020 is coming to an end, no matter how hard it is to realise. This was definitely a different summer, but it made me appreciate the joys and beautiful places that UK has to offer.
